Simitian resumes sidewalk office hours at local farmers' markets
SAN JOSE – Santa Clara County Supervisor Joe Simitian announced today that he will be resuming “Sidewalk Office Hours” throughout his North County/West Valley district (District Five) in mid-August. Simitian invites community members to stop by to share their thoughts and concerns about local issues, ask questions, learn about County services and more.
“After a year and a half of COVID-19 restrictions, it will be good to be meeting face-to-face, or even mask-to-mask, at the farmers’ market again,” said Simitian. “I enjoy hearing first-hand what people have on their minds and what they think about our work.”
Simitian holds his sidewalk office hours at local farmers’ markets to provide easy access for his constituents. All questions are welcome, and no appointment is required.
“The farmers’ markets are a wonderful venue for sidewalk office hours,” Simitian said. “The setting is relaxed, it’s easy to find, and a lot of folks stop by to talk on the spur of the moment.”
