Simitian to Hold Sidewalk Office Hours in August
SAN JOSE– Santa Clara County Supervisor Joe Simitian announced today that he will once again hold “sidewalk office hours” in Cupertino, Los Altos, Mountain View, Saratoga and Sunnyvale in August. Simitian invites all community members to stop by with any questions and concerns about local issues, and hopes to gain a fuller understanding of residents’ views.
“I look forward to talking to people one-on-one,” said Simitian. “Sidewalk office hours give both the public and me a chance to interact in an informal, neighborhood atmosphere. It’s helpful to hear first-hand what folks have on their minds so we can address any issues.”
Simitian holds his sidewalk office hours at local farmers’ markets to field residents’ questions and opinions about County issues. All are welcome, and no prior appointment is required.
“The farmers’ markets are a wonderful venue for sidewalk office hours,” Simitian said. “The setting is relaxed, easy to find, and a lot of folks stop by to talk on the spur of the moment.”
