Santa Clara County Hosts Holocaust Remembrance Day

SAN JOSE – Santa Clara County Supervisor Joe Simitian is inviting community members to attend the County of Santa Clara’s Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony, “Some Were Neighbors: Betrayers, Bystanders, and Protectors.” At this special annual event, the Board will take time to commend the courage and bravery of the victims of the Holocaust, and honor the survivors and their families.

“This yearly commemoration is ultimately about the triumph of a people in a time and place where hope seemed impossible,” said Simitian.  “And it’s about our willingness to face up to our own human failures, as well as our achievements.”

The event is open to the public and parking is free in the County lot.  A reception with refreshments will follow the ceremony, hosted at the following time and location:
