Simitian to Hold 'Sidewalk Office Hours' at Local Farmers Markets
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SAN JOSE – Newly elected Santa Clara County Supervisor Joe Simitian announced today that he will hold “sidewalk office hours” in Saratoga and Mountain View on June 22nd and 23rd. Simitian invites community members to stop by with their questions and concerns about community issues.
Simitian will host additional outreach events throughout the year.
“I look forward to talking to people one-on-one,” said Simitian. “Sidewalk office hours give both the public and me a chance to interact in an informal, friendly atmosphere. It’s tremendously helpful to hear first-hand what folks have on their minds.”
Simitian holds his sidewalk office hours at local farmers’ markets. All questions are welcome, and no appointment is required.
“The farmers’ markets are a wonderful venue for sidewalk office hours,” Simitian said. “The setting is relaxed, it’s easy to find, and a lot of folks stop by to talk on the spur of the moment. In these challenging times, it’s more important than ever for elected officials to stay in touch.”
Simitian will host his sidewalk office hours at the following times and locations:
Saturday, June 22nd
10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Saratoga Farmers’ Market
West Valley College

Sunday, June 23rd
