To bolster partnerships with several local jurisdictions and nonprofits working to address homelessness, Supervisor Simitian has proposed County grants to the City of Cupertino, the Town of Los Gatos, and Reach SV in Mountain View (in partnership with the Los Altos Mountain View Community Foundation). This funding provides flexibility to identify and respond to emerging needs among unhoused residents. So far, this effort has helped to connect unhoused residents and residents living in vehicles in Mountain View with a range of needed resources and services, as well as supported a safe parking program serving Cupertino and Saratoga and an emergency hotel program in Los Gatos.
