Fueled by a belief in the value of educating the next generation to be good land stewards, Supervisor Simitian successfully pushed for funding for O’Neill Sea Odyssey, enabling Santa Clara County students to understand how they are connected to the ocean ecosystem. The grant provided youth with a hands-on learning experience that created a connection to our natural world and positively impacted local schools and communities.
